Changes to off peak train times between London Euston and Northampton until 6 February 2009 (Mondays to Fridays only)
The 14th December timetable was not implemented in full to help 'bed-in' the new infrastraucture. The full timetable was supposed to be effective on 26th January. Due to ongoing difficulties this has now been postponed with an agreement struck between Network Rail, Virgin Trains and London Midland. London Midland will continue to run slightly fewer off-peak trains on weekdays until 6 February. This is to help ensure any teething problems have less of an impact on evening rush hour departures from Euston.
To quote the London Midland website "It's not ideal and we're sorry if it affects you; but we think it's the right thing to do."

New Timetables from 14th December
For your train times to and from Euston make sure you get a copy of the small pocket size timetable.
MK Rail Users have received many e-mails from Customers distraught at the disappearance of Virgin Trains in the morning peak. Fortunately we have been able to re-assure those who thought they had been lost forever.
Those who have not witnessed this, do not despair! London Midland has issued two timetables. A pocket version with ALL Euston trains to and from our region. This is a comprehensive guide for travel to London, includes both London Midland & Virgin Trains and is to be commended to everyone.
The larger format timetable is a London Midland only timetable for London Euston to Birmingham services. For the faster Virgin Trains to Birmingham you need the Virgin timetable and preferably do not refer to this timetable for travel to the south.
As well as Birmingham, London Midland are introducing a new route from our area through the Trent Valley to Crewe; north of Rugby calling at Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield and Stafford and other smaller towns on the way. Needless to say that with all these stops you will have plenty of time to admire the view from the Desiro panoramic windows (as opposed to the occasional glimpse out of the portholes of the Pendolinos).
Pick up your new timetables from Milton Keynes Central & Bletchley stations.
