NOTICE TO ALL RAIL PASSENGERS

MK Rail Users represents the interests of all rail users in the Milton Keynes area. The Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Shenley Church End Council Offices.

The objectives of MK Rail Users are to ensure that all the rail users in the Milton Keynes area get the best service and traveling experience possible.

This is achieved by working with Train Operating Companies, Local Government, Agencies of the Department of Transport and other stakeholders to improve services, enhance facilities and increase capacity on services from and to stations on the main line within Milton Keynes.
15th October MK Rail Users will be holding its annual AGM. MK Rail Users is a voluntary organisation and is the official body representing rail travellers from Milton Keynes and Bletchley.

Individual circumstances change and this year sees a number of key Committee members leaving the group at the end of a very challenging year.

We are therefore seeking new Committee members who can join us to continue our campaign for better rail services for the New City.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. If you wish to become involved in this very worthwhile and challenging cause, please contact us or see us at the AGM and we will assure you of a very warm welcome

Comment

At a time of severe disruption, it is good to report on success stories that effect the railways around Milton Keynes.
Whilst there has been much publicity surrounding the introduction of the new timetables on December 14th, there has been little or no publicity for the magnificent engineering work that has delivered a new infrastructure for Milton Keynes Central. Click here to read Jim Holden's informative account of how the project was delivered - right on time.
In addition, less spectacular at the moment, but no less imporant for our rail futures, Chris Wright, MK Rail Users Committee member and campaigner for the re-instatement of the Bletchley - Oxford line, gives the latest update on the progress currently being made on this important route (click here).
